We don’t know how could “Yahuwa” or “Yahweh” be pronounced as “Jehovah”?

In the phrase “Praise Yahuwa” or “Praise Yahweh”, what does “Yahuwa” or “Yahweh” means?

The Hebrew word for which people pronounce as “Yahuwa” or “Yahweh” is יהוה, appears in old testament 6823 times and it should be read from the right to left like י - Yot, ה - Huh, ו - Wav, ה – Huh or Y.H.W.H. because of not knowing the actual pronunciation, people add vowels on to it and pronounced it as “Yahuwa” or “Yahweh”.

What does “Yahuwa” or “Yahweh” means? (Reference from any Hebrew – English dictionary)

Answer: “Ya” is a vocative and an exclamatory particulate in both Hebrew and Arabic meaning “Oh!”, “Huwa” or “Hu” means “He” or “He is” so “Yahuwa” means “Oh he is”, “He is”, “I Am”, “he becomes”

The name is generally linked to a form of the Semitic word-stem HWH (originally HWY), meaning "being" or "becoming". Amorite personal names and Greek transcriptions of the tetragrammaton suggest that the vocalization Yahweh is correct, and as such should be read as having derived from a causative verbal form ("he becomes" or "he is").

On the other hand, if the name is analyzed as a (non-causative) G Stem, the verb "to be" plus the name of El, the chief god in the pantheon, could give rise to the forms yahweh-el ("He is El", "He shows himself as El") or the reverse, El-yahweh (El who shows himself).

Example: Exodus 3:13-15 is the first recorded instance of God naming himself. An etymologization of the name, connecting YHWH with the root HYH, occurs when YHWH, asked by Moses for his name, provides : "I Am That I Am", followed by "I Am," ("YHWH.") Elohim. He states that this is his name forever and a memorial name to all generations.^[20]

According to this “Halleluyah” means “Praise Oh! he is”

What does “He is” means? Who is that “He is” ? What is his name?

In the bible it was 156 times the word exists as “Y.H.W.H Elohim” (Example :Genesis 2:7) meaning ”Oh! he is Elohim” or “Oh! he is Elahim” the god calling him as “Elohim” or “Elahim”

Lets analyze what does “Elohim” or “Elahim” means? “Elohim” is not a one word, it is a combination of two words, “Eloh” + “IM”.

“Eloh” or “Elah” refers name of the god and “IM” refers plural of number as well as plural of respect, similar to the one we have in Tamil and Arabic (plural of respect). In this case “Eloh” + “IM” refers “Eloh” with a plural of respect.

That’s why, Bible says, prophet “Isha” when he was almost going to die said “Eloh, Eloh, lama sabachthani? (Mark 15:34)

Bible says:

in.begining he (elohim) created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) – Hebrew to English translation

In the beginning god created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1) – English translation (name “elohim” translated as god)

ஆதியிலே தேவன் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சிருஷ்டித்தார் (Genesis 1:1). – Tamil translation (name elohim translated as “Devan”)

Even though names should not be translated, the bible do translate “Elohim” as “god” (devan) and If the “Im” represents plural of number then it shouldn’t be translated as “Devan” rather it should be translated as plural “Devargal”. It won’t be appropriate if we translate “Umar” as “Emar” or “Johmar”?

Note: In the bible, “Devan”, “Karthar”, “Suvishesam” and many more is not identified by the Christian translators, it was original substituted by srilankan hindu priest “Arumaga Navalar” who is one who originally translated the bible into tamil. Before the time of “Arumuga Navalar”, there were two attempts to translate bible but they succeed only few books of bible. “Arumuga Navalar” is the one who is behind the Tamil bible. He wrote lots of books against Christianity after learning the bible. This is among one of the reason that, the Tamil bible contains lots of phrases from srilankan ascent. "எலா ஹிம்" என்றால் என்ன? "எலாஹ்" என்றால் கடவுளின் பெயர் "ஹிம்" என்றால் மரியாதையை குறிக்கும் சொல், நம் தமிழில் "கள்" இருபது போல "விலங்குகள்" என்றால் பல விலங்கு என்று அர்த்தம் அண்ணல் “உமர் அவர்கள்” என்றால் பல உமர் என்று அர்த்தம் கிடையாது அது மரியாதையை குறிக்கும் சொல்.

அதனால் தான் நபி ஈஷா (ஸல்) தான் இறக்கும் தருவாயில்

“Eloh, Eloh, lama sabachthani? என்று அழுததாக பைபிள் கூறுகிறது (Mark 15:34)

"யா ஹு வா எலொ ஹு" என்றால் "ஓ! அவன் தான் எலா ஹு" என்று அர்த்தமாகும்,

இதில் வரும் "ஓ!" என்ற அசிர்யத்தை குறிக்கும் சொல்லை பிரித்தால் "ஹு வா எலொஹு"

என்று வரும் குர்ஆனில் உள்ளது போல "ஹு வல்ல ஹு உள்ளஜி ல இலஹா இல்ல ஹு" (quran 59 :22 )

இதன் அடிபடையில் "ஹல்லேளுயாஹ்" (halleluyah) என்றால் "ஓ! அவன் தான் எலொஹு, அவனையெ துதி" என்று அர்த்தமாகும்.
